The Stone forest of Pobiti Kamani is a unique natural phenomenon.
There are fifteen theories on how these stone
columns are formed.
The prevailing theory is that this “stone forest” was formed some 50 million years ago.
At that time it was a part of the sea bottom. After the receding of the water the inorganic sediments eroded,
thus attaining the marvelous forms of today.
